Are services provided for families?

Yes, group sessions with families and psychologists are welcomed. The Substance Abuse Prevention Program offers a monthly "Family Night" where all are welcome to come learn and talk about TBI and substance abuse.

How long does it take for the brain to heal?

Rehabilitation is individual-specific, with Allied Health Service ordered by the treating PM&R physician. No two cases are the same.

Can clients drive a vehicle while residing at Eisenhower Center?

Not while residing within the Center. Residents in the SIL or Bridge program who have a driver's license and have passed a driving evaluation may drive.

Can visitors spend the night?

There are designated visiting hours. Visitors are not permitted to stay the night with the residents.

What do clients do during the day?

Work (in the community or on campus), attend therapies, attend two community outings per day.

Where do clients eat?

There are several options: dining room, which is located on EC campus, or prepare their own meals (we provide grocery money). Every plan is individualized.

Who provides the transportation?

EC provides transportation within 60 miles of EC.

Do you have a Medical Director?

No, but we do have a "house doctor" who completes rounds at EC.

Can residents smoke cigarettes?

There are designated smoking areas located throughout campus. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

What therapies do you provide and where are they located?

We provide occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language pathology, psychotherapy, and a licensed Substance Abuse Prevention Program. The therapies are conducted on EC campus (in the Moriah building).
