John Cornack, MPM, NHA, President
John Cornack has over 15 years of experience in the health care field. His strengths encompass corporate program development and implementation, as well as staff recruitment, training, and retention. He focuses on health care quality assurance, quality improvement, customer service, performance techniques, quality indicator analysis and training, and trends in health care and computer training. With his unique management style, Mr. Cornack is a 'hands on' administrator. Guests on campus should not be surprised to see him shoveling snow, playing cards with clients or conducting an exercise group in the mornings.
Mr. Cornack came to Eisenhower Center in 2004 as Eisenhower Center's Program Director. He was then promoted to Vice President Now as the President of Eisenhower Center, Mr. Cornack is on the pulse of preserving and improving the brain injury rehabilitation system. He holds positions on the Michigan Brain Injury Providers Counsel (MBIPC) and the Coalition to Protect Auto No-Fault (CPAN) as Treasurer and President respectively.
Outside his professional life, he spends his time with his lovely wife, Lisa, and his pride and joy daughter, Alexa. He is an active basketball coach, tennis player and sports enthusiast. His dog, Montague, spends two or three days at the facility as well, enjoying attention from the clients and staff.
Christine Myran, OTR, CBIS, Vice President of Programs
Christine joined the Eisenhower Center family in 1998 as a contingent occupational therapist. Because of her acclimation to Eisenhower Center, she was offered a full time position splitting her time between the Clinical Department and the Supported Employment Department.
After the East Hall Program was formed, Christine became the program coordinator for the first supported suites program at Eisenhower Center. After managing the East Hall program for seven years, she was promoted to Associate Director of Quality Assurance and two years after that she was promoted to Vice President of Programs.
Those of you who have known or worked with Christine know the passion she exhibits in doing her work. She exhibits this same kind passion, of course, for her family with whom she spends her precious free time on their farm where she raises livestock, is an active member (along with her children) in 4-H, makes delectable cheeses, and raises chickens for eggs.
Matthew Ingram, BBA CBIS, Vice President of Human Resources
Matt began as a part time rehabilitation associate on 6/10/95. Became a full time employee and was promoted to shift supervisor in early 1996. He transferred to North Main when it opened up and later became its residential coordinator in mid 1996. That winter Matt graduated with a BBA in Business Management and Health Administration. In 1997 Matt became the assistant program coordinator of North Main and helped develop the neurobehavioral unit over the next three years. In 2000 he was promoted to Supported Employment Coordinator and began to expand the vocational department. After three years and 2 exceptional CARF accreditations for Vocational Rehabilitation, Matt was promoted to North Main Program Coordinator and further developed the behavioral unit for the next four years. He then left the North Main team and became the Associate Director of Human Resources. While in that position the HR department changed its focus to a quality improvement model and developed new employees for the future. With the retirement of President Scott Votava, Matt was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources to manage the business side of the company.
Matt works closely with the new President, John Cornack and Vice President of Programs, Christine Myran to grow the company and maintain the financial strength of Eisenhower Center. In December of 2008, he was elected to Chairman of the Board with the retirement of Dr. Phillips and the change to a 100% employee owned company. Matt looks forward to the growth and challenges that await all of Eisenhower Center.
Lindsey Burton, MA, LPC, CRC, Clinical Director,
Lindsey has over 20 years experience working with the traumatic brain injured population and is a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Lindsey is skilled in working with disabled individuals, families, treatment teams and the insurance industry for auto no-fault, workers' compensation, and long term disability cases. He is also experienced in design and development of vocational rehabilitation programs. Lindsey was instrumental in the design and development of Unique Option LLC (sheltered workshop), where he served as Managing Director. At that same time he held the position of Vice President of Case Management at Medical Care Coordinators where he worked for 20 years. Previous to that he owned his own care management company, Burton Rehab.
Mary Pinson Thomas, RN, CRRN, Director of Nursing
Mary has served as the Director of Nursing (DON) since 2002. She originally joined the staff in 1994 as a Program Cordinator and left the company for a brief stint before returning 2002.
Devin Hutchings, BS, CBIS, Program Director
Devin Hutchings received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education from Ferris State University in 2002. He is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS).
In 2002, Devin began working as rehabilitation associates at Eisenhower Center, while pursuing employment in his chosen field of education. In winter of 2003, he was promoted to shift supervisor and, soon after, was promoted to Program Coordinator Assistant for the Congregate Program. In 2004, Devin was promoted to Program Coordinator for the Congregate Program.
Devin had the opportunity to return to his chosen field of teaching and did so for awhile. However, he returned to Eisenhower Center in 2006 and initially began working in the Supported Employment Department. Shortly after, he was offered and accepted the position of Program Coordinator for the North Main Neurobehavioral Program.
In 2007, Eisenhower Center opened the doors to a state-of–the-art building, Moriah Hall, and Devin became the Program Coordinator of the Moriah Hall Program.
Continuing on with his successful growth and development at Eisenhower Center, in December of 2008, he was elected to the Board of Directors of our 100% employee owned company.
In 2009 Devin was promoted to Program Manager and then Program Director in 2010 in which role he currently supervises Eisenhower Center’s entire rehabilitation associate and mid-managers. In the same year Eisenhower Center formed the first ESOP Board to oversee the
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Marjorie D'Alecy, LPT, CBIS, Physical Therapist Manager
Marjorie graduated from The Queens College of Glasgow with a BSc degree in Physiotherapy in 1992, and has been at EC since 1997. She is trained in NDT (Neuro Developmental Techniques) and has had a lot of training/experience in SCI prior to EC, as well as a CBIS certification.

Jeanette Marks, Physical Therapist Assistant
Jeanette graduated from Henry Ford Community College from the Physical Therapist Assistant program in May of 2010. She started working at Eisenhower Center immediately after graduation.
SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
Irene Balmer, MA, CCC-SLP
Irene received a Master's in Speech Language Pathology and has over 33 years of experience. She has been with Eisenhower Center since 2007, in addition to 15 years of contractual services. Irene has specialized training in Dysphagia.
Jennifer Kondor, MA, CCP-SLP, CBIS
Jennifer is a speech and language pathologist who has been practicing in the field of TBI since 1987. She joined Eisenhower Center in 2000. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate work at Eastern Michigan University, with the intention of working in the public schools. But once she started her internship in brain injury, she never left. She has her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of Michigan.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The OT department has grown from one OT and one COTA to four OTRs. We have special interests in vision, physical disabilities and hand therapy, community integration, and treatment based on client goals and increasing quality of life.
Ashley El-Asri, OTR, CBIS
Ashley received her Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy from The University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001 and started immediately after at EC.
Mary Rose Karl, OTR, CBIS
Mary got her B.S. in OT from Wayne State University, and has 40 plus years' experience. She's been with us since 1994, and has done additional courses and fieldwork in athletic training.
Karen Khan, MS, OTR/C, CCM
Karen has a B.S. and Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University. She has over 25 years experience, and has been with Eisenhower since 2008. Her specialty areas include Sensory Modulation/Integration, Visual Motor/visual Perceptual and Functional Behavioral Modification techniques with difficult populations.
PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING
Deborah Adams, LMSW, CBIST, Clinical Social Worker
Deborah Adams has been clinical social worker and psychotherapist, in practice for over 20 years. She held both clinical and management positions in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's Behavioral Service division before coming to Eisenhower Center in 2004. In addition to addressing the psycho-educational and adjustment-to-injury needs of Eisenhower Center clients, Deborah's work focuses on treating psychiatric disorders and addiction recovery, with specializations in psychotherapy to address trauma/PTSD and sexual health. She is active in the design and implementation of EC's Staff Development program, and is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. Deborah has been teaching in Eastern Michigan University's department of Social Work for the past 10 years, and is currently working toward her Certified Sex Therapist credential at The University of Michigan.
Cheryl Witmer MS, LLP, CBIS, Psychologist
Cheryl holds an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.S. from Western Michigan University in Music and Psychology. She has over 8 years experience prior to starting with EC in 2003. With a specialty in Child and Family Therapy, she especially enjoys working with patients' families, and considers working at Eisenhower one of the best experiences she's ever had.
Donna Russell, LMSW, DCSW, ACSW, QCSW, CBIS
Donna received a Master's in Social Work from The University of Michigan in 1987, and has been working with dual diagnosis/substance abuse, mental health since that time. She has also worked with brain injury since 1998 and has been with EC since 1999.
