OUR COMMUNITY
When you drive into Eisenhower Center for the first time, you'll see how much care has gone into the design of our campus. Our lovely midwestern setting makes the perfect backdrop for the dramatic, upbeat architecture. Everything is designed to accommodate the needs of people recovering from traumatic brain injury, from the wide walkways to sunlit hallways throughout each building.
We offer 11 residential programs designed for varying levels of independence, from apartments for clients who have achieved a substantial level of self-sufficiency, to more highly supervised programs for those who require additional ongoing assistance. Walkways linking the buildings and common areas give clients the opportunity to interact and get to know one another.
Additionally we offer day treatment and enrichment programs at our main facility as well as enrichment program and group home at our farm in Manchester, MI.
THE ENTIRE CAMPUS IS DESIGNED FOR OUR CLIENTS' COMFORT AND SAFETY:
- Full complement of rehabilitation therapists and treatments on-site
- Variety of residential settings to meet the unique needs of each client
- High ratio of direct-care staff to clients served
- Full-service dining room
- Facility-owned transportation system
- Kitchens available in each living area
The wide variety of treatment levels means there is more opportunity for positive interaction with others, as well as mentoring. Each client is treated as an individual, deserving of respect, and the homey atmosphere adds to the feeling of safety and comfort.
Eisenhower Center is also part of the much bigger community of Ann Arbor, a college town with rich public resources and access to music, the arts, and all kinds of activities. We encourage our clients to take advantage of the educational and recreational opportunities all around town, and provide transportation for those wishing to attend events and activities.
